When my husband and I were drowning in consumer debt ($48,000 to be exact), We used to ride through this particular neighborhood that we had wanted to live in since childhood. See- growing up, this neighborhood always felt like one in which only "rich people" could afford. I told myself this was definitely not the place for a hairstylist of 15 years and her blue collar husband. I remember months before we started our debt-free journey, looking at my husband and saying "Did we pick the wrong career? Will we ever be able to live here?" Soon after this, we said... enough is enough! We decided to make a change.
It took 2 years exactly to pay off our consumer debt and five months later, we closed on that house in that "rich people" neighborhood that we never thought we would be able to afford.
Learning how to trust our financial decisions changed our lives forever. Now I have made it my mission to help others in the beauty industry do the same. I have helped dozens of women learn how to take control of their money while also gaining trust in themselves.
